The service is thought to provide dedicated, personalized and experienced equine veterinary care for you and your horse at home, from a routine procedure to more complicated cases, from top level athletes to your beloved pet.
The service was started on January 2023, provided in English language by Ricardo Sanchez, originally from Gran Canaria. He has been involved with horses since a young age (longer than he care to remember 😉) since then he has always been fascinated by horses, which later on in life led him to studied a Bachelor in Animal Science at Colorado State University (1999) where he gained invaluable insights in the horse industry leaning towards the veterinary side of things, during his time at CSU he had the privilege of spending a prolonged periods of time as a volunteer(watching and learning) at the veterinary teaching hospital in equine surgery department, which at that time an even today remains at the forefront of equine veterinary medicine.
He moved back to Europe (2000) this time to Germany, where he worked at an Equine reproduction Laboratory working closely with different veterinary clinics, while seasonally still working in Germany, he obtained his Doctor Veterinary Medicine degree in Hungary (2007), since then, and even before finishing vet school, Ricardo developed a strong interest for Equine lameness, orthopedics, surgery, and emergency cases, which allowed him to work in different Equine clinics/hospitals (from first opinion practices to referral hospitals) in different countries (Germany, Ireland, UK, Isle of man, Scotland, Spain). Ricardo also has had the opportunity to attend different continue veterinary education programs, and is a member of a number of equine veterinary associations. Ricardo also throughout all those years of practice has gained vast experience in the veterinary profession, caring of patients, advising clients, and developing the Equine practice.
Ricardo arrived in Sweden in mid-2021, and immediately he fell for the country and its people, with hard work and dedication he has had the chance of helping many patients and their owners, gaining their trust through clear and true communication. He loves the nature of the country and feels very much welcome, thankful and overwhelmed every day by the clients, which since day one, have shown so much support and appreciation, some of them since the very beginning of his arrival, some have come later, and still coming. He is always amazed by the trust and gratitude shown by the people that at some point he has helped or shown something new.
